JOHN GHIGO
Director AND OWNER
John started his business venture at the age of sixteen supplying soft stone ideal of building of our homes. Eventually the business expanded to Construction, from shell form to Turnkey. Mr. Ghigo is the Director and owner for Ghigo Community Residence.
Diversity and continuation led the business to improve further, expanding to a large scale to service the emerging demand in construction. The business took a further move and started export of metals. Mr. Ghigo continued to expand in the business and started a living dream to build and cater a Residence of the elderly in the picturesque and tranquil village of Hal-Ghaxaq.
jURTIN GHIGO
Director
Jurtin Ghigo is the son of the Director-Owner and co-director of the Company.
After finishing his studies, Mr. Ghigo was always side by side to his father in the foundation of the
Company. Together with his involvement, the company has shown different approach to the
business and evolved its diversification during the years and that continues to be dynamic.
Jurtin Ghigo’s main role in to drive the sister company in the Construction and Recycling operations
whilst being actively involved in Ghigo Community Residence Management Team.
rODERICK CAMILLERI
Nursing MANAGER

Roderick qualified as a general nurse in 2007. He worked in Infectious Disease Unit for four years. In those years he enhanced his knowledge on infectious diseases and infection control. In 2010 Roderick moved to Plastics and Burns Unit and worked in this unit for ten years. During this period Roderick completed a Diploma in Leadership and Management.
In his position as a Nursing Manager Roderick uses his knowledge and expertise to maintain high standards in the care provided at Ghigo Community Residence.
Leanne Cauchi
Nursing Administration Officer
Leanne graduated from Northumbria University with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Nursing. She had also graduated with a Diploma in Health & Social Care and an Advanced Diploma in Health Sciences Leanne’s role at Ghigo Residence has qualified her to work with the allied team to promote the best care plans for our residents, while also working as a registered nurse and taking care of the nursing administration. To enhance her studies, she is going to study Master of Science in Healthcare Management and Leadership.
gLENDA bUSUTTIL Risiott
Lead Carer
Glenda holds 19-year experience working with the elderly making her passionate about this job which she calls “ My Vocation”. Following the footsteps of her mother and role model as a Nurse, she followed the path to reach this responsibility but showing care, respect, empathy, compassion and leading by example.
Glenda holds an MCAST Diploma in Health and Social Care and besides being a strong management leader in our Care Services.
Marica fARRUGIA

Marica started her working experience as a House Keeper in a Four Star Hotel where she did a three year experience. Following to that, Marika felt the need to know more about the Care for the Elderly as she had to take care of her own mother. This had created a passion in her to change work environment, immediately taking a Care Assistant job and then moving up the ladder to a Lead Carer. Marica is supportive, confident and innovative in her role by thinking about the main attributes and behaviours of Care.
Marica holds a hands on experience and continuously promotes values of care.
